Different Methods For Removal Of Waterproofing Membrane Coatings
Torched-on Waterproofing Membrane Coatings will require one of the 3 below methods to successfully remove it:
– Chemical
– Melting/Blowtorch
– Scraping
For all other types of Waterproofing Membrane coatings, we use the other 4 standard methods to successfully remove it:
– Chemical
– Shot Blasting
– Concrete Grinding
– High Powered Floor Scrapers
1) Concrete Grinding, Shot Blasting, and Scraping to Remove Waterproofing Membranes are the most common methods used.
2) Chemical Waterproof Coating Removal is strong and a mask and protective gear would be needed to avoid inhaling fumes.
3) And last but not least a Blowtorch Waterproof Coating Removal method may be required to melt the membrane enough for a Waterproof Coating to be removed. After this is done, a good scraping or grind will remove any leftover residue.
