What PPE Should Be Worn While Shot Blasting Concrete?
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) should always be worn while Shot Blasting Concrete, no matter how big or small the job is. The recommended PPE to be worn while Shot Blasting Concrete is:
– Knee Pads
– Ear Muffs (Class 5)
– Cut Resistant Gloves
– Safety Steel Cap Toe Boots
– Hard Hat (Commercial Work Sites)
– Safety Glasses, Goggles Or Face Shield
– Dust Mask or Respirator (P2 Silica Dust Protection)
– Sufficient Work Clothes (HI-VS Work Shirt and Long Pants)
You should also ensure that your hair is contained and that you don’t wear any rings or jewellery. It’s important to wash your clothing and shower after completing any work that may release silica dust, such as Shot Blasting.
