Can You Remove Astro Turf That Was Laid On Top Of Tiles?
Yes, it is possible but this is only an option for smaller jobs, 10 Square Metres or less. It’s an extremely long and frustrating task, so this is not a service we offer, regardless of what you are willing to pay.
The following method can be used:
1) Cut the Astro Turf into smaller pieces using a Carpet Knife or Utility Knife
2) Rip up the AstroTurf using a Carpet Clamp or by Hand if possible
3) Use a Heat Gun to melt the glue slowly away, be careful not to melt the tile adhesive to ensure your tiles don’t delaminate from your floor.
4) Scrape the Astro Turf glue away
If you have Astro Turf installed on top of tiles, The only method we use is:
1) We remove the Astro Turf
2) We then remove the Tiles
3) We then Grind your Concrete or Floor Sand away any residue underneath from the tiles
4) Now you have a clean concrete or timber subfloor, that is ready for the re-installation of a new flooring system without the risk of your new flooring system failing
