Concrete Grinding

Concrete Grinding involves an abrasive tool, like the Walk Behind Concrete Grinder or a Hand Held Concrete Grinder, in combination with a diamond disc or plug attachments combined with commercial silica dust extractors.

Concrete Grinders use rotating diamond teeth discs on specialised Concrete Grinding equipment to slowly shave off small portions of concrete and level, smooth, or clean the surface of a concrete slab to allow the successful reinstallation of a new Flooring SystemFloor Coating or Floor Levelling product. Or simply have a clean, level, and smooth concrete floor.

Concrete Grinding is used to remove residues, imperfections, glues, bumps, spraycrete, paints, epoxies, waterproof membranes, stencil concrete, etc from your concrete slab.

Concrete Grinding is a MUST before installing a new flooring system, coating or floor levelling product to ensure that the new flooring system, coating or floor levelling product does not fail as they need a smooth, clean surface to bond to which is achieved through Concrete Grinding.

Concrete Polishing

Polishing Concrete is very similar to sanding wood. Machines equipped with diamond-segmented abrasives (akin to sandpaper) are used to grind down concrete surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness. When sanding wood, you gradually progress from coarser-grit to finer-grit abrasives. (In this case, grit is the particle size of the diamond.) The result is a glossy, mirror-like finish.

Polished Concrete Floors are achieved by Mechanically Polishing Concrete Floors through a series of steps using different grit diamond tooling. We start at a coarse #16 grit and work up to a possible #3000 grit for a high gloss mirror image finish. We can stop at different grit levels for your desired gloss finish.

During the process, the concrete is densified using a concrete hardener strengthening the surface of your concrete floor and enhancing the level of shine. The concrete is also grouted, and cracks will be filled with cement-based products or epoxy hardeners this process fills in air pockets and cracks that are exposed.

Once the process is finished our team applies a stain guard to help protect the floor against any contaminants. Our team uses the latest equipment, tooling, and chemicals to achieve the highest standard of Polished Concrete possible.
